Concept Film-INDECENT
6 Shots film
Hey Guys,
Nice to see you again. I hope you are enjoying my videos as much as i enjoyed making them!
This was my third task in UCLA. We are asked to shoot a movie using only 6 shots, each shot exactly for 10 seconds! Its hard to work to in such extreme conditions, trust me! I hated this assignment in the beginning but when i actually shot this i realized how important it is to tell your story in a limited time. We have so much to say but how can we say that in a specific time, effectively? Also this assignment made me think the motivation for each shot. Every shot should lead to other shot. These shots are nothing but the linkage or bond of the whole narrative. If one link is weak the story weakens. I don't know how successful I am with this assignment but I learned a lot during this. Few people liked this many said they didn't understand. But everyone got something, which I realized when I got critics in class. And I guess at least I could reach to audience at some extent, not fully. I hope and wish people watching this online will get something out of it. So please let me know what you feel.
enjoy!

Mood FIlm
Hey guys,
This is another project I made for my class assignment, Mood Film!
We were asked to select any music piece(preferably with single instrument) without any vocal.
And on the selected music piece we were asked to build a story and shoot a movie!
It is not that easy as it seems! Music definitely creates some mood but when it comes fit that mood in the story narrative for one minute it just takes your sleep away!
I had hard time finding the music I love (cause there are so many!) and harder time to create a wacky story and hardest time to shoot it! This music piece in the beginning of R. D. Berman's popular song 'Piya tu' I love this music director! He is a true versatile music creator!
The video took 5 hours of shoot(most of the time was for lighting!), 6 hours of edit( trust me its hard to do jump cuts specially on wacky music like this)
I hope you will enjoy it!
And will comment too!!
Mise-en-scene
This is my first project in UCLA.
Mise-en-scene is a French term which means 'staging an action'
Telling story in a 'single shot' 'without any camera movement and edit' is the greatest strength of Mise-en-scene. Many great directors like Orson Welles, Alfred Hitchcock and others well known directors used this very effectively.
I tried here to tell my story through this, I hope you will like it

LA rain
Someone has said when you are low inside you cant enjoy the outside beauty.
Today its raining outside. And I just cant react to it. I love rains! In Mumbai I used to open my window and let those cold tiny drops come into my room. I don’t remember how many beautiful evenings I spent sitting on the edge of my window looking on the streets which used to be full of brown water. I always thought the purity of water is getting vanished when it touches our world. People around me are so pure but this world made them ocher-brown like water on the streets. And suddenly saw few kids jumping into that flood of mud and screaming wild. I used to get so jealous! I felt like yes I was there too running behind those little fishes! We used to call it gappi-masa. Hygiene-sanity these words were never there in my dictionary. There was just a moment of pleasure! Oh it’s a flashback in flashback! This mind always feels happy in the past. But makes us smile in the present. Now I really feel good. The sound of rain is no more disturbing. Oops my room-mate just closed that window. Still I can see droplets on the glass, they want to come in. Sorry guys I am not available today. There is someone who is already in my thoughts, making me remind me of the past and making me happy. Those drops at the corner of the eyes are nothing but my present.
